Art has always been something I enjoy; from wild abstracts to beautiful landscapes, or a child’s intricate portrait. Creativity is a talent that we all have and I enjoy exploring that for myself. I draw inspiration from so many things; travel, fashion, music, feelings and emotions. I use my art as an act of self expression and as a means to find the balance in the quiet and the busy. My pieces can be heavy and layered with free strokes or light and minimal with intentional marks. I have never been a rule follower and I see no reason to do it with my art. It truly is an active and ongoing action of self-expression. One day or season can bring on a whole new approach.
A native of South Georgia, I moved to Atlanta after completing my undergraduate degree. After working in the corporate world, I returned to school to obtain my Masters degree which led me to teaching. Several years later, I became a stay at home mom and pursued my real passion of Art. My husband, Andrew, and I reside in Atlanta with our three young girls and our springerdoodle, Hazel.
